A Château Giscours wedding in the Médoc.
Getting married in the heart of Bordeaux wine country, at one of the most celebrated estates of the Médoc, calls for photographs worthy of the place. Between the historic stone of Château Giscours and its century-old park, a wedding here feels like time held still for a day.

For Lucile and Thibaud, the setting was grand but the day was anything but stiff. My job was simple: leave the posed photos aside, and capture the day as it truly unfolded, from the quiet hours of getting ready to the last song on the dance floor.
Getting ready, in the soft light of the château
The morning belongs to the details and to the people closest to you. Old wooden floors, tall windows, a dress waiting on its hanger: Giscours gives you a light that most studios can only dream of. I keep to the edges of the room and let the moments come.

A humanist ceremony and a vintage car in the courtyard
A wedding at an estate like this is an atmosphere, a rhythm, an energy. From the arrival in a vintage car to the ceremony surrounded by family and friends, I work like a documentary photographer: discreet, attentive, never in the way.

Golden hour in the Médoc
Late in the day, the low sun rakes across the vines and the park. That’s when I take the couple away for a few minutes. A little direction, then I let them simply be together. Those few minutes are often the images couples love most.

Candlelight, then the dance floor
As night falls, the château lights up and the energy changes. Candlelit tables, glasses raised, then a packed dance floor. With direct flash and a lot of movement, I stay in the middle of it all to capture the electric energy of your friends.

Planning a château wedding in Bordeaux or South West France?
Every estate has its own soul, and documenting a wedding at a place as exclusive as Château Giscours takes an eye for texture, materials and natural light. If you’re planning your wedding in the Médoc, in Bordeaux, in Dordogne or anywhere in South West France, I’d love to hear about it.
